Information Bulletin – December 12, 2020 Band Office Closure for December 2020

In view of the current rates of infection in BC for Covid-19, and public notices issued recently by the provincial health authorities, the Kwakiutl Nation band office will be closed for the rest of December. For December 14-18 employees will be working from home. Arrangements are being made to ensure that, until December 18, callers to the main phone number of the Kwakiutl Nation can leave voice messages for individual employees and these messages will be automatically forwarded as email attachments to the employee, who will then call back to people who have left voice messages. We will make every effort to ensure that anyone who tries to contact an employee of Kwakiutl will be able to do so on the same business day, or at least within 2 business days during a busy period. Business email addresses and updated telephone extension numbers for individual employees will be listed on the Kwakiutl Nation website. From December 21 to January 4 the band office will be closed, except for emergencies. Each Kwakiutl Nation department will designate at least one contact person for emergencies, and that person’s contact information will be listed on the Kwakiutl Nation website. The band office will resume operations on January 5, subject to Covid-19 safety measures. We wish all Kwakiutl Nation members and their families happiness and good health through December 2020, and throughout 2021, and we look forward to re-activating the band office in January 2021 or as soon as health and safety conditions permit.
